The sensomotoric balance cushion is designed to train balance, stabilisation and motor coordination. It is commonly used in physiotherapeutic offices, yoga and Pilates classes. It can be used by people that have recently suffered with an injury and are trying to rebuild the stabilisation and proprioception of their body. We also recommend it to people who spend a lot of time in a sitting position.
The pillow is made of the highest quality PVC material. It has 2 types of surface: on one side- smooth with small bulges and the other- with long bulges used for massaging and stimulating.
Examples of sensorimotor pillow applications:
1. Apply it during your sedentary work. Sitting on our sensorimotor pillow makes your stomach tense all the time to keep your spine straight. This will strengthen the stabilisation of your spine, and in the long run will eliminate its possible pain.
2. Stand on a pillow with one leg. Try to keep your balance. Once you’ve learned this, start making small swings with the other leg forward, sideways and backwards. This exercise will improve the stabilisation of your ankle and knee joints. It will also improve the balance and coordination of the body.
